What coronavirus has taught us so far
Last year, nobody could have even thought of a single virus having such big impact in 2020. Not only one country or one continent, but the whole world is affected.
Wherever you are, however you feel, here are some ideas how to benefit from the current situation. We can‘t change what happened, but we can focus on the positive aspects and learn from this situation.
8 things coronavirus has taught us:
How important social interactions are
In our „digital age“, doing everything online seems really comfortable. Working from home, talking to your friends on the phone, etc. But let‘s not forget how important meeting people in real life is! We are social human beings needing face-to-face interactions to be happy.
Saving our environment is possible
Suddenly, the air is fresher and the lakes are clearer. It is not about whether we can or cannot save the environment. The only question is: When will we start to realize that we actually can? Now seems to be a pretty good timing…
You can‘t plan your life
Even if we want to, we don‘t have complete control over our life. So instead of planning and worrying about the future, take a deep breath, relax and enjoy the moment.
All you need is…
You don‘t need to have a big car, a lot of money or an expensive watch. If you like that – fine! But everything you really need is to be healthy, loved and happy.
Yes, you can slow down
We tend to find excuses why we have to work more, have no time to call our parents or exercise. Well, yes you can! Even if it takes a virus and a government telling you to stay at home…Only you decide what to do with your time and how to use it to be happy.
How to reflect and manage our time
While the world seems to be standing still, there is time for us to reflect. What have we done so far? How is life going? What do we expect from the future? What do we want more of in our life? Do we have enough freetime? Which next step can we take to live the life we want?
We‘re all in this together
It doesn‘t matter where you are, old or young, rich or poor, healthy or sick. We are all in this together. It is great to see people supporting each other – young people doing the groceries for the older ones, others donating money or writing letters to people feeling alone. We are one planet and humanity is more important than ever.
And last but not least…
We now know how to wash our hands properly;)
